There was a mint black Torana SLR 5000 at the Woollies servo in Woodridge yesterday. It was so shiny a bloke was taking pics of it while the owner was fuelling. I didn't get a pic, sorry.
I feel old when people regard as classics cars which I remember being released as new.
Ha, you think you've got problems Mick. I've given up going to historical truck shows, it's scary when looking at the exhibits you keep muttering "driven one of them, driven one of them, driven one of them."
I worked on a similar Leyland, as an apprentice in the early seventies. [bigsad]
I would say the days of real horse power , perhaps a couple Clydesdale heavy haulers !

The last picture is as R 190, I remember when they were considered a big truck, you were King of the Road with less than 200 HP. These days even the garbo's truck has 250 or more gee gees.
Who remembers the wooden, tropical cabs, sans doors.?
