They can be selective in who they bomb too. We had a pair that nested in a gum tree in our front yard. We could stand under the tree and watch them as they carried on with their young without any worry of being bombed. In fact the young would come down onto the lawn near us. However if the the young boy from across the road came over they bombed him.
