There is no boss to take the weight , therefore the studs are both, locating the wheel and baring the weight. Plenty of cars do this, where the wheel centre is bigger than the boss, therefor the studs are taking the full load.Quote:

Apart from the unsprung weight the compounded leverage .Probably AWD so just the same as adding wheel weights or water in the tyres for traction[bigwhistle]
