Also had to do running repairs to some perspex sheets.
On my olde worlde ex family 'steam driven' 1924 FIAT 501 the 10 gallon tank was under the bonnet & directly behind the dashboard, but structurally those old cars were constructed quite differently with a decent chassis, quite solid mudguards, tank, running boards, fuel tank base probably 1 - 1.5 m up from ground level, not too many cars on the road & what there were traveled at much slower speeds.
Odd that when we drive our Series, I bet we don't even give a second thought to the fuel bomb under our arses until we feel our Jocks getting hotter.. [bigrolf]
