I've never understood why navy personnel on a ship need camo gear. I watched an Aussie TV programme where the navy was moving an RAN ship out of Garden Island to turn it around and then put it back. All the RAN sailors were in camo but the RNZN navigator (on secondment) controlling the manoeuvre was in blues.

It must be for if/when they go ashore somewhere on a tropic isle, Ron, either that or when they visit a Botanic Gardens.

I can't imagine James in a nice Powder Blue rig with crests of breaking waves all over it. Fish yes.

A guy I work for at times doing fish stuff was doing a job at night on the Mornington Peninsula with his previous T/A.

They'd set the gear, gone and got a coffee at a servo and were sitting in a bayside carpark with their neoprene waders on at 2am in the car when the cops showed up.

Took some explaining apparently. [biggrin]
