If you had ever driven a Samara you wouldn't ask.... or laugh....

The FIAT 124/125 sedan based Lada Rivas look pretty much the same. They weigh about twice as much though....

Hence my assumption that it was a Fix It Again Tony, I seriously doubt the Lada could support the weight of the cab, particularly only on the gutters.[bigsad]

Watch a few Russian dash cam vids. Those Rivas are bloody strong. You'll see them have biblical crashes where no survivors could be expected, and then Boris will climb out of the hole where the windscreen used to be.
