A friend of mine who is in the LAPD said that they consider a "child' in this particular stat being classified as someone under the age of 19. So, this figure includes all those 'unalived' in gang related violence. If you take those out, the numbers are a lot, lot lower and cancer is the leading cause of child deaths. That doesn't mean the country isn't gun happy and kids don't fool around with guns in the home and the worst happens though. Far from it. The proliferation is quite ridiculous, compared to years gone by.

Can anyone tell me where the photos below were taken? Most likely between Brisbane and Sydney, possibly on the Bucketts or Thunderbolt Way.

I found these using Google's Lens image search.
The Dragon Lady, who couldn't find north with a compass, drove through the town a goodly number of years ago, on the way to Sydney, asked me where they were, on her return. I don't believe they are on a major transport route, she has no idea what route she took.
This is the same lady who took a blind friend shopping at Coorparoo shopping centre and had no idea where to start looking for the car at the end of the spree. Fortunately, the friend's guide dog had a better sense of direction, as they exited from a different portal. [biggrin]
If she took the pictures, the phone or camera might have recorded a GPS location.
No she didn't take pictures, confident that I knew every yard of every road in the eastern states.
These pictures I found and showed her, she immediately recognised them.
The 1st pic looks like it could be my wife.
Although I can't see her face in the pic, the clothes look familiar and it is definitely the same broom that she rides.
When she gets home I will ask her and see if she remembers where the pic was taken.
Would you like to request that she wears those clothes to your funeral in case she sees this post.
