Reminds me of the Goose Highway, when I ventured to Rainbow Beach, two weeks ago!
Why would highway, speed signs be flashing '60', at 1030 a.m., when the offending vehicles had been removed and the highway was officially declared "Cleared' at 0905?

Gateway Motorway is the similar.
Down to 40 Km/hr,because someone is changing a tyre way off the road, with a council ute next to them with flashing amber lights.
At 6.30 Sunday morning, hardly a car around, and the signs are still flashing 40 Km/hr,3 Km after passing the incident, that is if you could call it an incident.
On the Logan Motirway going west near the Gateway motorway interchange, down to 80 Km/hr ,and a sign flashing Caution due to congestion, even when there is no congestion.
It’s the usual way of bureaucracy. They must find ways to justify their existence. To each other, I mean. Most of the real world can see through this.

Mr Gordon said a better public understanding of coastal erosion could help people grapple with the issue.
"When they get that understanding … people realise they need to be adaptive and that the beaches will change and they will lose some beaches."
Ya gunna need a bigger sandbag wall.
