The Mini in this makes me think that my FIAT could still be worth something. Not a Cooper S, sure, but still getting rarer, and mine is still more paint than rust.
I think this will be of interest to some: The auction price is nuts.
Some typical white van drivers, and what do they say about rentals??
Bloke in the Citroen knew what he was doing though; proper bow wave and no worries. But maybe it got deeper... But a tractor is clearly the answer.
Oh, and a nice Zook, but what can I say about tow anchor choices? Sheesh.

Hì,
I think the air intake is at the front just under the grill from what I remember from a friend's with the engine uncovered.
Cheers
Edit,...... Ooops, ...It's a Ford Transit, not a Sprinter.
All box vans look the same to me.
There are a lot of Mercedes Sprinters getting about as campers. I wonder if the low air intake limits accessibility to remote areas compared to other makes, and if the van lifers know about it or modify their vehicles accordingly.
Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.
My 2wd Sprinter is limited to where it goes due to ground clearance but it goes everywhere I want it to - the intake is 600mm off the ground - in the left guard area so anyone drowning one is pushing them beyond what they are designed for IMO. If the 4wd units are the same, then yes I’d be looking at a raised air intake or modifying it somewhat.

We had a sign written van years ago that had Serice written on it instead of Service.
It was over a year old before the driver noticed
Hi Ace air intake and filter is low down behind front bumper, at a guess about 350mm off the road.I rang them once and asked what the wading depth was as its not in the handbook, and they couldnt tell me
They also have about 100mm of wheel travel so absolutely useless anywhere except on the blacktop.
Have seen some of the new model modded to be 4WD,aparently for mines somewhere.
