    Yeah but, no but... It's not a tautology as the licence plate is a separate object from the number it carries. You are arguing that "enter licence plate" is sufficient information and that the "number" wording is redundant. Yeah, but, if I was writing the sign I would probably include "number" for clarity anyway. And incur your wrath!

    My gripe is that we tend to call them a number plate or rego plate, 'licence plate' seems a very US term to be
