It shouldn't be,even stock D2TD5s go well.
You need to clean the MAF sensor inside the air intake with CO spray to start with.Then the MAP sensor on the intake manifold if there is no improvement.(if the MAF is faulty the ecu reverts to a very safe/poor tune)
If somebody has a Nanocom you can tune the wastegate up too,(it may also be stuck open)
Get somebody on here that has a D2 TD5 and knows them inside out to have a play with it.
