    Very very sad...
    To happen at all but today of all days...
    Looks like he stalled on the turn and nosedived..
    Feel for everyone down there who saw it happen..
    I wonder if it was because there were too many boats on the water and he had to try and make a sharper than normal turn ...it will come out in the inquiry..

    Yes looks like a stall in a turn but there is no obvious reason to turn - possibility trying to fly too slow (was apparently in formation behind another seaplane) and stalled straight ahead and straight into a spin (the turn). Maybe flying very slow and the wake from the other aircraft caused one wing to stall.

    It was a relatively soft crash so was a bit surprised they died but when water is involved it makes recovery more difficult.

    The water there is very shallow,less than 2m deep,so they would have hit the river bed.
