I caught one of those once whilst fishing in the Snowy Mountains NSW.
I was fly fishing at dusk and casting back and forth when I felt a solid "Ding" on my back cast. What dropped in front of my feet was one of those bats. He must have been chasing my fly. He was ok though and flew off after with a head ache I guess.
Would you believe a second one pushed his way in last night.....this one looks a little scarier.

Interesting this is they both spotted the gap in the trim and got there real quick
You're lucky, not a bat story but similar.
Years ago while on one of our scuba/fishing camping trips we admired our neighbours arriving with a really flash pop top caravan. Sheer luxury we were thinking. The next day while everyone was away from camp the monkeys arrived. We would always put everything away in padlocked tin trunks.
Two monkeys got in through the screening into their van. Proceeded to eat everything they could find. They couldn't get out again and proceeded to destroy the inside and **** all over the interior. The van was stuffed. Two ****ed off monkeys bolted when the door was opened and the campers after an hour or so of trying to clean up left.
Monkeys and Mongeese. They'd keep you on your toes when campi.

Bats are quite smart, similar to a German Shepherd it is said. For example they may make a different sound for each creature they encounter. They also bond to companions.
