At last nights LROCV Meeting I heard that The NSW clubs and Vic Clubs are organising a meeting to discuss a 70th....

There was discussion of it may be in Gundagai or maybe Cooma - nothing yet set.

If I hear any more - I'll share

Representatives from LR Clubs from SA, VIC, NSW and the ACT will be meeting in Gundagai in mid February to discuss a function to celebrate the 70th Anniversary.

You have to wonder why its left to the owners to arrange these things---

There is no pride in LR about being 70?

It always has been Pedro.... for a long time Land Rover Australia has not done much to support any of the clubs or events they hold around Aus.

Land Rover Experience seems to have changed that a little..... maybe because the club things are now useful to them.... but that could be me being cynical too

You shouldn't need an excuse to go to the high country.

We are in the early stages of organising an awesome event here in Queensland.

We do have Corowa next year and they have it as a Land Rover year, anyway and we also have the Sydney Expo which the 70th can be part of.

Corowa is a military event only, and as such limits the whole range of Land Rover, be that a Series 1 or a 2017 Range Rover, the 70th is about the whole brand, form the early days to now, and as such the event in QLD will encompass all the Land Rover models, be that civilian or army, be that series o Freelander.

The event will take place over a weekend, or even long weekend, and camping will be available for those who wish to travel interstate. Theres plenty of ideas in the bag, and we are happy to hear of your own thoughts. We also should have the support of Land Rover, and a few other big boys.

Further details will be made available in the coming months once the finer details have been finalised.

Any input from owners is welcome so we can make this a truly epic event.

Anyone who would like to come on board and be part of the management team please contact me directly. You will ideally need to be Gold Coast or Brisbane based.
