Don't like Supercars,..try the Liqui Moly 12 hr?

Well, the "Usual Suspects" can Supercars at every available opportunity, but if they have any interest in Motorsport at all, then maybe they might take a look at the "Liqui Moly"?....Ferrari V Porsche V Bentley V BMW V Nissan etc,...just watched an Aussie "innovation" the top ten shootout,...Ferrari came out on top.
Gotta go to Church tomorrow morning, so I'll miss out on a bit, but this race, which has world stature, is sure to be good.

This race shows how irrelevant the racing taxis are in the scheme of world racing categories - while the racing taxis cannot go in this race because they are no longer based on Production Vehicles, there are no other Aussie cars in the race - in theory HSVs could be invited to participate in Class I (Invited Cars) but I guess they are just not good enough so are not invited. Ford does have a Focus RS in the race so I guess that is one thing. So a Focus is good enough to go in but not good old Aussie muscle.

Also telling all cars in the race are either European or Japanese - no Aussie or American.

Aaahh, trust "Mr.Mustang" to introduce a totally irrelevant point of view to this great race by mentioning something which has nothing to do with what is a world class race, just as the Bathurst 1000 has no relevance to this, but which is also recognized as a great race, also on a world wide basis, with a world wide audience. If you've ever listened to any of the comments by competing overseas drivers, you might realize that whatever car they're driving, in either category, and some drive in both, they have a completely different point of view to yours.
Such negativity as yours would see no motor racing at all in Aussie.
But anyway, I might as well ask, what would your formula be for a successful motor racing category in Aussie, that is, if you are prepared to disclose one of your "secrets" to a "random"?

Nothing passed a Bentley down Conrod,
    The Mercedes was a slug.
The Ferrari had the best brakes.
There is no substitute for brains Van Gisbergen.

I watched about 9 hours and its much better than supercars.

Excellent race I thought, particularly the last hour or so.
GREAT victory for the Ferrari, a bit of a dark horse when all the previous "P.R." had been on the Mclarens & the new Mercedes.
Poor old SVG,...came in for a bit of a hammering from Engel,...but good TV I suppose.
SVG is super fast, ya "live by the sword, ya die by the sword",...not a good day for him, but he's a SUPER driver, perhaps more importantly a really genuine guy, & He will live to fight another day.
Can't wait for next year, ya never know, they might have a Mustang running next year, Ford have just produced such a factory racer, ..maybe it'll make "Mr. Mustang" happy?...but I don't think so.

I won't be watching any more of this. boring.
the attraction of the old super cars was that they were ,sort of, the car you drove yourself.
    4 door family type saloons.
the cars today were nothing like what the ordinary guy drives, and yes I am aware the super cars do not really resemble apart from body shape the family car, but really there was nothing as exciting as the old bathurst today. have better things to waste a day on.

I am still not sure what this Mr Mustang thing is but anyway.

I have noticed a common aspect in many of your threads on this forum - that is, when ever someone posts up something you don't agree with, you immediately attack the individual rather than simply offering alternative discussion.

You might want to get help with that.

My point of my post is that even though we have some hi powered and great cars produced by HSV and FPV and others, I was surprised that in an Aussie race there were no Aussie cars in the Class that they would have been eligible to compete in and maybe the relevant teams thought they may not have been competitive - my view and for sure others may disagree. I am sure on a track like Bathurst, a top spec HSV would have given the Focus and the Mazda 3 a run for their money but maybe not some of the other vehicles.

Yes it was a great race and it is a shame that there were no Aussie cars in an aussie race.

Oh and Pedro, I did spot the Viper later, thanks.
