    Getting aerial whip off

Had a problem with my GME aerial wher the whip kept coming loose .so I put some locktite (low strenth one 222) in it and then did it up . I think this may not have been the best thing to do as I think it interfered with reception . I wanted to remove the whip and clean the connection but now can't get it off it just keeps going round but won't screw off .........any ideas how I might get it off

Heat.... you'll need to heat it up to help it release.

Which GME base is it? There are a few. Can you get underneath the whip to hold the base of the thread?

And yes, the loctite has likely become an insulator...

    Looks like this

guess ill try heat ......I am surprised that the tread is turning in the base ....I would have thought it would be fixed and the whip screws on to it

Ah, those type.... Getting aerial whip off
It will be very difficult... spin it all the way out - some unthread (but snap the coax in the process)...
