    roadside assit and servicing

    Hi all ,
been a long time since I posted here but was hoping for a little adivce.
I have just arrived back in Sydney after 7 years in the Uk and I have shipped my p38 hse rangie with me . I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on good roadside recovery programs in OZ (I know I will never need it but the wife is insiting)... also was looking for a good LR work shop in Sydney for a service . The rangie has developed a bit of a starting problem since arriving back in OZ. not sure if its the fuel or what. once its running its fine its just starting from cold.
Anyone used Gream cooper before ?

    Thanks for any info
    Craig

Steinzy I noticed in your car profile you have 265/75 r16 on your p38.
do you have many issues with rubbing etc...
my air sus has had a 1 inch lift in standard and 1 inch in hI and I was wanting to get 265 /75 but they just didnt look like they would go to well offroad.

mate I definitely don't regret putting the 265/75/R16's on be because it has made a huge difference to ground clearence and improved 4x4 ability. With the rubbing the only time it rubs is when you're in the lowest height settng (entry/exit mode) and trying to do a full lock, and on highway mode over bumps and gutters. I had the ECU reprogrammed to the there was a 15mm increase on the standard height mode and a 30mm increase on the High mode.

that sounds cool, will def look into the 265/75 when tyres are due.
is there a noticeable difference with these tyres that requires a diff ratio change as per what you want to do ??

Not really a huge difference - just has a litle bit more lag when accelerating but new ratios and a supercharger should fix that

Depends on what you want for the roadside assistance.

NRMA premium gives you a hotel, a hire car, or a tow home if you are over 100kms from home.

You only need it once and it pays for itself.

In Newtown area there is Graeme Cooper and another specialist LR mechanic, so you have a choice.

    Cheers

    Simon.
