I've remembered at last...... Rover Scott Bonnar that's the name. Excellent value at 600 odd bucks all those years ago. Would have saved a fortune in mower mans fees but I've spent it all on beer....

Wow ... reel mowers ..... Gee's you guys must think I'm a fruitloop suggesting things like "the only decent push mower has a victa 2stroke 'cos everything else is so god damn gutless it'll drive you bloody insane"...... I don't have a single blade of grass that a reel mower could cut. to put this into perspective, this is my yard, and where my suggestions of mowers comes from :)

I bit the bullet / took the Good Advice, traded up (?) the Industrial-weight kawasaki for a,,, 138cc Bang & Stop - powered, smaller and much lighter self-propelled model. Oddly enough, the unit appears to come out of the same manufacturer as the old one...
So easy to start and and light enough for the Boss to push... then I engaged the Warp Drive and awayyyyy we went. - Bonus ![bigsmile][bigsmile][bigsmile]

Guy in a local Bricks & Mortar garden equipment shoppe, did the painless deal.

The old Kubota push mower has served me well since I bought it when we first moved to Kalgoorlie in 1991. Has never missed a beat, and still starts on the first pull every time. [biggrin]
