Petrol too expensive ? You decide.....

The Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates arrived today.

    Along with the first lady.

You'll not be surprised that she is a LOT younger than he.

She brought a heap of girlfriends along for the trip.

Came on the private jet, and were whisked away by a fleet of black 7 series BMW's to Palazzo Versace.

I know what your thinking. That costs serious money.

    and it does.

but it's the jet that clinched it.

A BRAND SPANKERS NEW (still with that new aeroplane smell) Boeing 747-400.

The seats were huge.... like twice the size of a normal first class seat.

(These people would think they were slumming it in normal first class, I would imagine).

When the cleaners came aboard they had to wear special covers over their shoes to protect the VERY expensive carpeting.

Of course there were plenty of gold covered thingies about the place, and a very large master bedroom suite - kinda like the size of the ones you see in "Boystown" art union prize homes.

Now a 747-400 is a BIG plane and in normal 3 class configuration carries some 400-odd people.

    This one carried..... 35.

    Including the crew.

Now ask yourself.... where did all that money come from ?

    Yep. Exactly.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

What happens when the oil wells run dry?

Will they'll be selling dates and trading camels?

Hi One_iota, the problem is that the Arabs know the oil won’t last forever so they are spending up big in the USA, Britain and Europe.

So while for now they control the oil, when it runs out they will still have financial control.

And everybody blames the Jews for controlling the world banks, I think not.

That does not suprise me. Now if countries like Australia had the balls to charge them 50 times what a sheep is actually worth we could get some payback. They do it with oil. Maybe we should charge them 500 times what fuel costs to refuel their plane in Australia, give them a taste of their own. Our government do not help it much either as every time the price of crude goes up their revenue skyrockets, this is the only reason we have had surpluses and the government knows it. They will tell you it is good fiscal policy. What a crock.

Hi CraigE, as much as I don’t like dictatorships like those of many Arab countries, the latest rises in fuel costs is actually down to the likes of BP, Shell, Chevron and other multi national petroleum companies.

In recent months, although making handsome profits from the rise in price of crude, the Arabs have been doing a lot of extra production in an attempt the bring the cost down.

Above average crude oil prices are, in the long term, actually detrimental to the Arabs as the additional revenue that governments make from high tax gains tends to find its way into developing more alternatives and the Arabs know that one day a complete alternative might be found and then where will they be.

Next time you fill up, blame the A,holes that supply the end product, for the high cost of fuel and little Johnny howard has a lot to answer for as well.

    Cheers
