No, in those days we rode Honda motorcycles. Owning a landy was a far distant dream. :roll: I used to ogle the Rangies and think, "if only".

then maybe "extROVERt" is appropriate.

It could be spiced up as sextROVERt

But if that is over the top then there is always the more modest sintROVERt

i think extrovert is a great name its different, and i think it means to be bold, confident and outgoing doesn't it i think that would be perfect AND it involves the letters from rover and alsmot extreme.. i think yabbie should make this a strong contender

As to be expected I have had the new girl out in the water just about every day so far on Tuggerah lake.

I got caught by suprise yesterday and though I was going to end up like Gilligan, the skipper, the professor and the rest of the folks onboard the Minow.

We hit the water at 10am spent most of the day flying all over the lake (mmmmm Speed!!!! :twisted: ) Dropped anchor for a while at The Entrance Bridge for a swim. then decided to take her up a few of the rivers and creeks that feed into the lake.

Weather: fine light breeze 4knots all in all great day

Returning to the boat ramp to collect a few more refreshments before taking on the other half of the passengers coming out to watch the fireworks from the water, the wind had picked up and had managed to pull up a hefty 1.5 - 2 mtr swell pretty good effort for a shallow lake, Back up with tight sets of waves coming in groups of 4's & 5's I was earning my money as skipper.

The down side a having a Bowrider is a dirty great big hole up front for waves to fill up the boat, And as to be expected with waves coming from all directions this is what happened. Pretty scary stuff there for about 45mins. Water made in to everything and every where. For a few seconds I thought this was where the new boat was to find its new home at the bottom of the lake with us left to swim 5kms or so back to shore. Manage to catch a break in the waves and was able to turn back enough to ride home on the backs of them.

With the whole boat and every occupant absolutely drenched, and with the 4 extras 2 being kids under 4. I though it the better part of valour to admit defeat and not chance experiencing the same with the kids onboard.

The New boat proformed quit well concidering.

And I have decided on a Name for the girl.

I guess it is not EC (Ecologically Correct) to name a boat "Oil Slick" or "Exxon Valdez" But If I had a powercraft that's what I'd call it :wink:
