Each deck spindle has its own motor.... I bet it shuts the power off as soon as the blade hits anything hard ..... There will be smarts hooked upto the electric motors no doubt :)

I think for that money I'd still be buying a petrol ride on.

Yeah I've been looking at those Ryobi ride-ons. Not the zero turn one though, that's a bit too exxy!
I've got 1 1/4 acres of pretty uneven (and quite steep) bush block so I'm thinking their 48V 38" is probably more like it.

Shame AEG don't do a ride on - I've got lots of their batteries [emoji38]

In a perfect world, if you had a perfectly flat, featureless, rectangular, 12140m² (3 acre) block of say 80m x 150m, to do it in 3 hours with the 107cm (42") cut, would be a distance of 11,100m and require an average speed of 3.7kph.

Doable on paper.[bighmmm]

Yep! Tractor and 1.8m cut, flail mower = 7 acres in 2.5 - 3 hours. Oh, and let's not forget the suspension seat, driving position, hydraulic steering and navel contemplation time.
