Have you read the closed captions on the TV recently? Errors galore, and often about 10 seconds behind the visual content.
Personally, I get a good laugh watching the auslan guy. He's a real gas.
My guess is most hearing impaired would have teletext on their TV's......
My point is I'm yet to see a briefing where the person doing the sign languish is in the shot of the camera for the whole briefing...all you se it the odd arm, or a few seconds than nothing.
Seems pointless to have the interpreters there at all.
