    Floor Media briefings - why persist with sign languish

    My guess is most hearing impaired would have teletext on their TV's......

    My point is I'm yet to see a briefing where the person doing the sign languish is in the shot of the camera for the whole briefing...all you se it the odd arm, or a few seconds than nothing.

    Seems pointless to have the interpreters there at all.

    Have you read the closed captions on the TV recently? Errors galore, and often about 10 seconds behind the visual content.

    Personally, I get a good laugh watching the auslan guy. He's a real gas.

    It was better as the cyclone was approaching...but the floods have been terrible.
