theres a... dare i say it... freelander FS on carsales.com.au for under $3K. i may buy it... since you only life once... might as well own a freelander for 5 minutes... if it lasts the 3mo we can raffle it off for charity at the end of my trip...

Freelanders are underrated. Buy it.

Family friendly, most definitely.
Some families' definition of friendly may vary.

hey philip... well... i AM a land rover tech... but that said... my shop wont fit in my suitcase so theres only so much i can handle... i will PROBABLY at least go see it... i know what to look for... and again... it only has to last 3 months... then we can all go rip it to pieces in ians driveway late july...

the dealer selling it is pretty responsive to my questions... and im sure that he'd be willing to take a decent cash offer and a bucket of chicken to get it off his floor...
