So this scam has been going on for a few hours now. My guess is if it was real and could use the affirmative answer for profit the perpetrators have likely moved onto something else. Personally I couldn't be bothered answering my phone to anyone I don't know.
Snopes says: No evidence that anyone has ever lost any money to this supposed scam. They can't show any link between someone saying 'Yes' and being billed anything.

Don't shoot the messenger. You may not get another message. Rely on Snopes, whom you seem to know well.
I don't speak - just hang up.
I reckon it'd be more fun to reply with ... "Can you hear me?" :p
I have my phone to reject 'unknown number' calls, so I'll probably never get one :(
