Thread: The " can you hear me " phone scam.

Not a phone scam But I have had to block and delete about a dozen Bogus traffic infringement emails this morning.
Is anyone else getting these Bogus emails?

Its driving me nuts.
No traffic ones yet but every other try at viruses under the sun. I got about 20 yesterday and as quickly as I block sender they come up with another variation. Australia Post, which caught a mate as he was expecting a parcel and lost his hard disc, Google support, Whatsapp, Woolies Update, Fedex, Gmail, and lots of hijacked email addresses that we know, as well as I guess harmless ones offering sex, and Cailis.

Looks like someone in Russia has bought a list from Facebook, or Amazon recently seeing the increase.

Surely the ISPs should also be able to filter them out!

I have been getting emails where i have supposedly won expensive vehicles, this morning it was a hilux - as if i would enter anything where a hilux was the prize.

maybe it was the booby prize

Without reading of this scam, my immediate reply would have been "no" - I mean, think about it, if I answer, I hear them.
I have equally quirky mates whom I've learnt to never tell them I'm selling anything - as a fake buyer ( them with disguised voice) will call.

Yep I am getting these. They say I have a traffic infringement of $xxx and I will be receiving it in the mail.
But I can view it now by clicking on the provided link.

The only thing I click is the delete button.
