I got close to Warren Daly's D type Jag a number of years ago. Really a thing of beauty.

If I recall correctly, he bought it for a few million and I think today its worth about $20M ?

Even the air conditioning works great. The owner has her full history and believes there are only eight like her in good condition in Oz. What is she worth? Hard to say, but she is not for sale. A lovely old thing.
Beautiful. My brother has the near identical Mark 10. Built like tanks. At 100 mile per hour (mile) it's like standing still.

    Cheers

I have never been a fan of the appearance of the Mk 10 - they always appeared 'bloated' to me. Earlier models were better looking, particularly the Mk VIII.

And this was his beautiful concourse winning Mk2 that a drunk , unlicensed & uninsured driver ran into.MK2.jpgMK2A.jpg

We are hopping to start rebuilding the Mk2 this year using another body shell.

To put it in perspective ... an old Citroen DS has always had very little monetry value ... but a DS in that sort of condition would be in the 20->$65,000 range depending on model and type.

Mechanic should be shot, he put the muffler on the wrong end .

Most of the mechanical's are OK , X member bent , twin SU's sliced off side of motor, peddle box , some of the wood trim on the dash & drivers door trim needs replacing. Body a write off , most of the panels were damaged including the roof . The Jag did a 190 deg spin into the embankment The super charged Manaro also spun 190 deg's before hitting the arm-co & sliding along the arm-co for around 50M. Brother got out with a cracked bone in his foot. Ambulance man said he was lucky he was driving the Jag if it had been a modern car he would have a lot more injury.
