A BA/BF Fairlane makes a very comfortable interstater.

For the same price a used Lexus LS 400 is 50 times the car.... I'm still at a loss as to why there is so much support for these poorly designed and built cars....
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

If you do go this route, try and get the later BA/BF or FG with the six speed ZF.

Then there was something wrong with it. My wife's BA Fairmont eats Klugers.

Just sayin... the 1UZFE has the starter motor in the valley under the intake manifold. Not a simple job to replace.

But I would have no issues rolling in a JDM Celsior or even better the V12 Toyota Century. Yakuza style.

    .
Also needs expensive timing belt replacement every 100 000km. But a great engine nonetheless (as is the 2UZ).

I think the XL and EL Falcons were the most beautiful vehicles ever made in Australia. I wish I could have my EL back.
