One of the original and better 'grunge' bands.
    A great loss to music.

Temple of the dog, one of my all time favourite's and was a big part of the soundtrack to my youth - along with soundgarden etc.

Funny, with the passing of Cornell, a lot of old friends have come out of the woodwork reminiscing about those years and the part he played in it.

Well let's be honest - how do you know what to trust with Internet news sometimes. When I first heard it yesterday I was hoping it was a hoax.
Soundgarden was one of the first bands I started listening to when music started to be of interest to me so there's a lot of memories that go with it.
It's kinda funny that my wife prefers Audioslave over soundgarden yet I'm the other way around - still both fantastic bands however. I'm sure he'll be sorely missed by those who knew him.
