    Forgot his parachute -darwin award

Apparently he forgot his parachute and jumped narrowly missing the boat dock.

This is not a Darwin award winner. So Close
A couple and child who had set up camp on a dangerous cliff edge prompted a call out by police and the coastguard.

They were found in a tent in an area known for landslips along the Cleveland Way in North Yorkshire on Saturday.

Coastguard rescue officers from Staithes and Whitby were sent and gave "safety advice due to the dangerous location of their tent".

    Nope!
No Way could I get any sleep there.
    Other side of the road?
Maybe, with a few extra furlongs.
    Cheers

They were probably worried about being ambushed/attacked from behind so pitched the tent there.

We were up in Kalbarri some years back at the "Natures Window" look out and over the other side of the river gorge there was couple on a narrow ridge allowing their little boy to run around unrestrained with a huge drop on either side of them.
I couldn't watch and turned away as did others as we all thought of what could happen should that happy little chappy get too near the edge and go over.
    Complete and utter idiots.
I just cannot fathom out what's between the ears of so many absolute ****** idiots around these days.

Alan, the opening minute of Brad Upton's standup routine should answer your question!

Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.
