    Ok here we go

The gear box for the 110 was a LT95

Actual production run for the 101 was from 1975 to1978, first prototype 1969 first unveiled 1972

    Military light weight introduced 1972

ford paid BMW about 2.7 Billion US for the company

Thats my effort anyone agree or disagree??

The gear box in the County I thought was the 5 Speed LT85

The 101 FC commenced production in 1972 and as blitz says it wasn't until 1975 that production began in earnest. The figures were 27 in1972,10 in 1973 and 8 in 1974.

The first year of production of the lightweight was 1971.

Well at least according to this source:

Not bad blitz Except my info says that the original one ten came with the LT77 gearbox and production for the 101 began in '72
Ford paid 3 billion pounds which at todays rate would be 5.3 billion US dollars approx. Don't know what the exchange rate was when the deal was made.

This from Land Rover Owner International mag.

Q1 has insufficient detail to give a single answer.

The LT77 5-speed was fitted to the LR diesel and 4-cyl petrol County. The LT77 wasn't strong enough for the V8.

The V8 and 4BD1 had the LT95 4-speed gearbox. (Mine has the LT95).

The LT85 was fitted from about 1985 onward.

That was info given in the mag, I don't know about the V8 bit, but certainly the poms didn't have the 4BD1. Being a British magazine I can understand the oversight. Although I can't imagine there was no V8 produced during those years.

The question was worded exactly as the magazine worded it.
