Yep..
I've accumulated 3 sets..
some 265/75/16 Pirelli STRs for purely round town & highway driving. Great tyre. Rides the best, great steering response, great wet weather grip. Dirt road grip is about 10 kph down on the Grabbers or ETs.
the 35 10.50 16 Simex ETs for harder weekend playing. Nothing more needs to be said about these things.
& the 235/86/16 for the longer holiday trips, and weekend camping, normal all-round use. Not bad at anything really, but not brilliant either. A true compromise tyre with a high load rating for those long trips.
Now it looks as though they've got to be replaced before the Easter hols, damnit.
Any suggestions for a replacement?
New Coopers are advertised as being super strong, haven't heard yet how they ride & steer. I think time has passed the BFG range by. Had Pirelli ATs before, bit small, wore quite well, dirt grip not great. I'm leaning towards another set of MTRs as a touring tyres. Had these before, I was happy enough. Any other thoughts?

I bought cooper ATR's and find they are very quiet on the road. As with any tread thats deep steering will take a little time to adjust to,Quote:

I do see a LOT of them on Fraser.
