We know them as "Balancer" units. For those that don't know, or aren't aware, they hang from the roof with tools etc attached to them, and stay at set hight for the operator.
I have spent a lot of time on various Minesites rebuilding Ball and Sag Mills.
These things are incredibly handy for taking the weight out of handling big air powered rattle guns and it was part of my job to set these up.
