Ahh WA, what a wonderful place, grew up there
The fishing was "F"ing fantastic.
Many a time spent sitting on the Freo wharf waiting for those big mulloway.
Afternoons watching the water boil with herring or garfish![]()
Bet it's not that good now.
Last time I was there you couldn't even get onto most of the wharf.

When driving my defender back from canberra after i bought it apart from defender and series owners waving i had a toyota 75 series troopy driver wave at me now how strange is that and disco drivers have there heads some where else![]()
Agree with you rangieman. I just drove 550 kms to NW - NSW and passed about 20 LRs and not one wave yet an Explorer gave me a wave. I just managed to return a wave in time.
BTW, this is the D3s first decent long drive. It still only has 4k on the clock and even after doing 60 or 70 kms around the Gold Coast the day before I left, the V6 petrol still averaged just under 12Lt/100kms.
Got no complaints with that sort of fuel consumption.![]()
Cheers
My missus driving into town the other day on cruise control realised that she was going to fast, tapped the brakes to slow down turn off cruise. Car behind started to abuse her and when it finally got to overtake ( left hand lane in 80 km zone when missus doing 80km ) gave her the finger as went past. Must have thought she tapped the brakes to tell him to get of her but.
I to get alot of tailgating, sit on 100 - 105 km in 100 zone on way home from work, I tend to slow down to 80km then even 60km if still not getting the point. Have done this when I'm caught behind something slow and get tailgated, this ussually set it up so they don't get to go past the slow vehicle on the next overtaking lane. They get past me but not the slow one in front, this is my favourite game for tailgaters.
HATE TAILGATERS :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

The wharf and jetty fishing in WA is not as good as it used to be unless you like herring. Still some good fishing like this up north but most of the south has been well overfished. Too many greedy ****** taking anything and everything that moves. Only look at the morons during abalone season. The offshore fishing is still very very good though. Dont get to fish enough or at all anymore.

i found this while trying to do a search for checkerplate...of all things, and think its so funny, i have a defender and you occasionally get someone that wont wave back to you, however i was driving through brisbane the other day and a Disco driver waved at me.........i was like WTF?!?!?!?! hehehe disco drivers dont wave to defender drivers......disco drivers dont wave to disco drivers!!!
i came to the conclusion that he must have been driving his misses car and his regular drive is a defender, had had a defender in the past and missed the waving......or really wanted to have a defender and be part of the wave!!!
He was waving to his mate behind you, he he.....most remind me of stiff-upper-lipped english gentry, towing the horse float, definately not wanting to get involved in lowly issues.
Just kidding![]()
