Bah humbug. Been back exactly two weeks now. It's sad how quickly you can just slip straight back into your old routine.
This medal is from Kelsey's cross tri. It's a finishers medal, but still a very nice medal and is hanging proudly with all her other medals.

This is her silver medal. Very nice one. There is a description enscribed on the glass which you can't see and I can't take another photo because her mum "mistakenly " took the medal back to Canberra with her.

Shenanigans and posing on the podium at the medal ceremony.

This is how close it was. That's the Italian one second ahead of her.

After days, weeks, months of watching her sister scoff them down Kelsey was dead keen to get her own ice cream.

Grandparents were very proud obviously and MIL had this cake made up for us to celebrate on our return. Very fancy cake. I noticed the "Congratulations Kelsey " was in gold icing. A subtle hint to go better next time?

To keep quarantine happy her bike was cleaned before returning to Australia. But here it is partly stripped getting a thorough clean before she heads off to dirty it again.
That was an amazing holiday and experience. I'm very pleased Kelsey had som silverware to come home with. The pride felt when watching your child wear the Green and Gold on the world stage is just beyond words.
Thank you to all who helped make this possible for us, both financially and to those who spearheaded it all and kept it going. Ian and Cliff, I'm looking at you. [emoji16]
The money raised by Aulro bought the bike (and early enough that she could get some training on it), paid her entry and registration fees, paid for her uniforms, paid the majority of our accommodation and paid the international airfares.
So thanks again to everyone that helped us realise this dream.
Kenley and Kelsey
An excellent result all round from my perspective, Kelsey has had a massive achievement and the support from this forum is a real credit to it's members.
