It was a "Dubbo" car for the 1st owner (25,000Km).

This guy is the 2nd owner (now 50,000Km), and he lives north of Sydney at Palm Beach. Don't know where that is exactly, but with the word beach in the name I'm thinking seaside...

    I am with seqfisho.

There seems to be a lot of surface rust which raises a number of questions as to where he has been playing.

And to how well the maintenance has been kept up, or in this case NOT :!:

Palm Beach is a Northern suburb of Sydney, and as it says is on the waterfront, however he wouldn't be doing any driving on the beaches there but the salt mist from the sea is pretty bad at times if the car is parked outside overnight 8O

    I would keep looking

Walk away from that one unless the price is very right. Rust has got to be the biggest bugbear of Defenders and so much in one so young is worrying.

On the other hand, if the price is that good, snap it up and include the $5-6k for a galvanised chassis.

    Cheers
    Simon

    Asking price is $35,900.

I suppose I would be starting the bargaining around $34,000.

    "Joisting Sticks!!!!"

For that money, I think there are better examples. Does the guy have a boat or something? It seems he has been dunking it in salt water.

In that condition I would be going below $30K, if you are looking at spending that much I would keep walking, there will be another one you may just have to be patient

BTW, what is the service history like?

If it isnt complete then dont walk away

In his advert he says Full Service History. Serviced by British and Swedish.

    Then again, he also says:

Condition - Immaculate. Lovely car, looks fantastic and drives beautifully. You won't find a better one. Priced to sell.

Took me 6 mths to find mine and in the end I had to go to Melbourne, but it was worth every minute of the wait.

There are better ones out there, especially for that sort of money.

Spudboy, have a look at the burgundy extreme listed on the forsale page of my website, its pretty well modded, well into the thousands of dollars. He is asking 40k, but you will be able to talk him down a few grand. Its a nice unit. Matt
