It's the automatic manual that Scania uses, a bit like Volvo's I-Shift, or Eaton's auto RoadRanger, 12 gears. Manual box, but the computer controls the clutch and the shift. Not bad, but always uses low gears to get going, even when you have 730 HP, 3,500 Nm, and are bobtail. The thing is, there is no gear selector anywhere obvious. There's a thing you twist on the end of the RH stalk behind the wheel. Nobody finds it first time. They think it's the wipers or something.
