Problem is...... on a long running thread all my pictures have been held to ransom, suddenly the thread is 'worthless'.
How do you go about getting the photos back into the thread if you use another hosting site ?

One of the difficulties is the ability for users to edit old threads...
If you can send me a PM with the links to the new photos and where they need to be inserted - I can work through and sort them for you Colin... A fair bit going on at work at the moment, so I might be a bit slow, but it's possible.
Would be far nicer if Photobucket woke up and reversed this stupid decision.....:bat:
I only store photos I want to use on the internet. I always reduce them to 800x600 before uploading, hence I use very little space.
Maybe that's why My account's still OK.....?
I stopped using Photobucket a long time ago. I just store on the device and upload directly.
you can download your photobucket pics album by album..
you select which album you want to download and they build the download and give you 12 hrs to download it ..
I've just deleted all my photos from Photobucket and closed my account - I'd rather this than being held to ransom like others have - I'm sure my time was coming.
I'll work through some of the more important threads and reinsert the pics using a different method. Could take some time, but there's no way those aresholes are getting a cent from me for changing their T's and C's like this to outlaw what the place was originally set up for and hold accounts hostage like this - I hope they go broke.
Worst PR and commercial decision I've seen in a loooong time.
Applogies to those looking through my threads that can't see the pics any more, I'll get around to sorting out most of them as time permits.
Nugget's experienced the same problem and also noticed the $399pa cost for 3rd party hosting.
That's US dollars too Roger...... so over $500 a year for Aussies..[bigsad].. it's a blatant rip off
seems they coping an absolute flogging at the moment...
can't believe they have been allowed to even attempt to do this sort of thing.
