It was a bit hard to justify the NE if I was around Brisvegas itself, but anywhere west of Richlands and it was up the hill to Warwick and Golden Guitars all the way. But I'm a bit old school. I like roads to be roads, not supermarket aisles. That said, the Newell could be wider.

Has been for years. South of Warwick, at any rate. Probably not between Toowoomba and Warwick, though. Plenty of RMS checkers on the NE in NSW, and never a question asked.

Of course John, a bit of oldtimers slipped in there, it used to be the only route until the Pacific was duplicated. :oops2:

The NE is quite quick now but unless I was going to Toowoomba I'd take the Pacific. If I wanted a fang and a bit of scenery, it would be Thunderbolts and Buckets.
