Yeah i think Nissan diff housings a a whole heap stronger and not to mention the internal parts .
Well I know it's not just LR's but probably 99% that you see are for LandRovers, I've only ever seen others for J**ps.
Is it because we actually use our trucks as intended? or are the diff housings weaker than jap crappers (i doubt it)
Surely if ARB etc thought that they could con a few thousand tojo drivers then they would be mass producing them for all.
Or am I wrong and the jap crap drivers just haven't seen the light yet?????

Its because parts are that expensive and finding a good mechanic near impossible, that you'll buy anything to save the hassle of ever needing either. Or maybe our parents never bought us Lego.

Used to have a F100 4wd, huge steel bullbar with a piece that came way down near the ground to protect the front diff.
Any time I'd do something stupid I'd feel the bullbar plough up the dirt.
Not much good for approach angle, though.

i think the housing is on par with most other makes, its just the thin piece of metal land rover have put on the front to cover the crown wheel it must be only 1-2mm thick at the most and with the crown wheel only sitting a few mm back from the cover it only takes a half decent knock and the cover starts rubbing on the crown wheel which in no time rubs a hole through the diff housing.
have had to remove quite a few diff centres in army 110's to panel beat and weld the front of the housing to get them back on the road in the bush
in saying all that i still havn't fitted diff guards to mine
how did we go with that mob over iin perth
what mob is that 8O
Rovacraft, and the CUTEEdiff guards.

Still yet to contact Rovacraft
But are Rover cover plates that much softer than the others?
There is no need for diff guards between the soccer field, the shops and home.![]()

Everthing can be broken. Ja0p housings are generally stronger, but the LR swivels are less likely to break.
Go to any comp at look at people front housings, they are all laminated and gusseted. Most include a welded diff protector. My new housing a will be beef 8)
