Facebook Aulro page

As has been mentioned numerous times previously..

if you have no land rover content on your publicly viewable profile your chances of getting accepted quickly are marginal at best

i don't use facebook much myself but a couple of the mods from here do what they can to keep up with the very numerous join requests, but they we are constantly chasing spammers and believe it or not it can be a very time consuming task going through vetting applications.

do you have any land rover content on your publicly viewable profile page?

Jason and weeds, Im the Admin for facebook when exactly did you contact me? Because i don't recall you ever contacting me to tell me your profile or sending messages of explanation.

I do not let anyone in to facebook unless there is some viewable content on your facebook page that proves to me you are a real person.

Everyone is treated the same

Because spammers are a problem and its easier for me to prevent spammers in the first place then have to deal with them after they posted content.

I currently have 80 requests for joining I have not approved request for just over a week.

Sometimes when I'm busy I let them build up and do a big lot in one go.

So if you have a completely private Facebook that is why you have not been excepted in the past.

Nothing to do with being exclusive
But like I say i don't believe you have contacted me on private message at all.


As you are not on my friends list all messages go to my others folder which I check constantly.

I have only ever had 3 people contact me regarding joining the group and one them was through the forum not facebook. All of those people were let in.

Thanks for the follow up dullbird......if I feel the need to join in the future I will change my profile pic and send message.

Weeds just post me a message on here. And tell me your name not an issue approving you to the page. To be honest little surprised you are not in there already.

You also dont have to have Land Rover content on your page to join I just have to be confident the person im letting in is a real person joining for the right reason not a spammer or a bot

It would be 12 months or more that I tried......or maybe 6 months ago.

Either way will see what the future holds, I have trouble keeping up with a coupe of forums than alone Facebook

Just like here - all the admins have real world jobs and do this on a volunteer basis, so sometimes things aren't instant.

The group is kept as a close group to keep the spammers out that are constantly attempting to get in both there and here.

The frustrating part is that I sent a message with my user name from Aulro (used since 2009). If they can't tell that from spam, then there are some admin issues that are being swept/ignored. I guess that I'm not missing out on too much if the page is so closely monitored. [emoji12]

Jason who did you contact I have been mainly running that page for a couple of years and I have never received a message from you.

Sounds to me that you have not contacted all Admins only chosen one to contact and have chosen one of the inactive ones.

I really can't understand why anyone wants an Aulro facebook account when this one is bloody fantastic.

Aulro in my opinion is THE BEST forum on the internet.
