Some time ago, I admit, but someone I knew presented for his test in a 240Z. Tester said, can't go, we need a Licenced Driver. Bloke said, "Don't you have a Licence?". Tester took him out.

Thing is, how do people get a Motorcycle Licence??? Same rules should apply. In Vic they carry on about discrimination, and the most discriminatory people of all are the Statutory Authorities.

Disclaimer: I have two family members who work for DOJ.

Is it then, legitimate for an instructor to supervise a learner, from the back seat?

When I got my HR, the instructor was the tester.

My daughter got her licence about 12 months ago & the tester sat in the front seat & instructor in the back of the driving school car. Vicroads wouldn't allow the test to be done in her Daihatsu Feroza, the reason? Tester could not see the instruments from the passenger seat & its a 2 door SWB. Maybe that is why some sit in the back?
