    Members Dash Cam Videos.

With some of the discussions going on here and members posting their dash cam videos from time to time, I thought I'd start a thread on it so we have one repository for all of these.

ALL NORMAL FORUM RULES APPLY SO IF YOUR VIDEO CONTAINS SWEARING, PLEASE EDIT IT OUT BEFORE POSTING A LINK HERE!

I'll kick it off with an L Plater getting a lesson from a professional instructor the other day - the instructor needs some lessons on what a stop sign is, but more likely the poor L plater got a good talking to about what a stop sign is.

So, post away, I'll have to edit my potty mouth out of a lot of mine before I can post them here, so I'll get started on it.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

I upload them to YouTube then link them here. A YouTube account is free, and it's pretty easy to do - once you are logged in, click the 'Upload video' button, browse to where you have it located on your computer, then upload it. Give it a try and see how you go.

Now I have to rush out and get a Dash Cam. Then I have to find out how to upload a video and post a link.
    I think I might be a Luddite.
    Cheers, Billy.

Any vids shot of me tailgating a P plater, or other driver, doing 80km/k in the right hand lane of the Geelong to Drysie stretch will be referred to their optometrists for ignoring 3 huge signs that say ' Keep left unless overtaking'.

One more before I head to bed. This was on the Eastern Freeway - a car merges from the left entry ramp, then takes 2 lanes at once - I don't think he head checked and I must of been in his blind spot - dip **** stared at me dumb when I pulled up along side of him and gave him a death stare - the passenger quickly looked down - I think he saw more than the driver.

Yeah, go on - you know you want to!

Me fitting this camera became a must about 6 months ago after a couple of complaints against me - both times had I had footage, it would have proven I did nothing wrong - thankfully my Boss backed me both times, but it was getting beyond a joke, so I went and got one. In nearly 20 years of driving sign written company vehicles, this has only happened to me a few times - and 2 of those were this year. The standard of driving on our roads is plummeting.

I drive close to 1,000KM per week, mostly around Melbourne and Vic, so get to see some of our finest drivers at work. Most of the time I record things that just make me smile - speeders, cars running red lights, cutting in front of me, etc. I'm a laid back driver and mostly just continue on without missing a beat - you'll see some of those clips in due course.

I know what you mean about taking a laid back attitude (glad I finally learnt that lesson). I'm on the road at least 6-7 hrs a day and treat most road users like they are trying to kill me, so drive defensively. No use getting too upset about most incidents (no harm, no foul) as another idiot, even dumber than the last usually makes an appearance sooner rather than later! If I got upset at everyone who did something stupid in front of me on the road I would have had a stroke already.

I do however recognise the same work vehicles (trucks, vans, couriers, tradies) on a regular basis and always cut them some slack (ie, when merging, reversing, etc), and they do the same for me. This is a nice form of payback for all the morons out there and I always feel better after those occasions.
