Worked in an office with your own milk evaporating?

Here's how you can use game theory to stop people stealing your milk at work - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Those ideas look better than one used in Perth Office I worked in. Shared milk with 10 others. My turn to buy. Picked up 2 litres. It was gone 10 minutes later. Picked up another 2 litres. It was also gone 30 minutes later

I started drinking black coffee from then on! Some of the others had the same issue over the next few days. One put POISON on a bottle and allegedly added laxatives. Enough to give you the ****s

It wasn't me but I did laugh lots when the bottle was used by the milk thief

When I worked in a city office building one of the night security guards used to pilfer a frozen jam donut out of one of the tenant's fridges. The owner used to buy then in bulk and freeze them. This went on for months until the donuts were baited with laxative. All that was need to catch the bandit was to see who had the runs.

We don't seem to have too much trouble with this anymore. I walked in, watched the thief and promptly told them to **** off. Problem solved

In every office or workshop that has an honour system for lunches and milk there are usually those that have less honour than others and abuse the system.

I did that, once. Put Agarol in it. My milk was thrown out.
When I asked why my milk was thrown out, a co-worker said "It was off".
"How did you know it was off?" I asked.

    Milk thief identified.

Another thing to do is put food colouring in it.

I know it's slightly off topic but I know a bloke who had his sandwiches and cream bun stolen so he filled the bun with black Molybdenum grease and popped it back into his lunch box. Needless to say, the thief was found pretty quickly!

Not after he also steals the GoPro.

Many years ago we had a problem at one site where I worked. Food would disappear from the freezer on midnight shifts. We had a pretty good idea who was taking it, so one of the plant officers took the label off a can of braised steak and veges (or similar) and glued it onto a can of Pal dog food and put it in the cupboard.

It went and the miscreant was left wondering why everyone was calling him "pal" after he complained the food was off.
