And with that GB, I'm thinking you'll be hearing all sorts of noises as you cruise along. Could be quite frustrating or worrying even, when you get it on the road the first time.
Mind you, once you know where all your cars noises are,, it'll be quite awesome out in the bush,, even better than driving with the roof off. You'll hear all the animals etc, and if your on your own, no doubt you'll come across some pretty cool encounters with critters we don't normally get to see.
My encounter last night was the reverse :eek2:
Hi,
WAY back when Velocette (IIRC) made a water cooled, shaft drive motorcycle the same problem of no audible warning noise came up, along with the idea of adding a buzzer or something for pedestrian awareness.
British police had a fleet of them, and they were known as Noddy Bikes.
Cheers
If you want to charge when capacity is short, you will pay for the privilege or blow the main fuse because you're being difficult . Or you can install a storage battery to take cheap daytime solar power and have it available to charge at 6pm because you're going out later at night or something. Everyone else will charge in the middle of the day or the early hours of the night when power is cheap and freely available. None of this is particularly difficult to understand, even if it is different from what you're used to. And of course you can be the last person who runs an old fossil powered vehicle long after the rest of the street has gone electric, just because you are unable to change your habits. Whatever. :BigCry:
So, which electric car have you got?

Relaaax. No-one is taking all your old stinkers off you. Not yet, anyway.
Anyway, since you asked so nicely, here's mine:

Well it certainly will be fun charging up the work van during the day when it is needed most......[tonguewink]
Anyway,whatever will happen who knows.
But i think many people have no idea how it is going to work, just imagine the grey nomads towing huge vans with electric vehicles.
Companies aren't going to put up with electric vehicles that are inconvenient.
Who cares,what happens,happens.
I just think at the moment people are dreaming of all these electric and,i can add, autonomous vehicles, where in reality,a lot of thought needs to go into these changes.
As i have already said, there is no way the power grid could handle electric vehicles, and there is not much chance of its capacity being increased in the short or even long term.Domestic solar systems have a long, long way to go to be able to charge up electric vehicle batteries.
