Aahh the memories. Secure the boat to the trailer with the safety chain, run the winch cable out as far as it will go toward some solid anchor point, if needed, use the anchor rope to make up the shortfall between winch hook and anchor point, winch the cable back onto the spool. By this stage, if you're lucky, the trailer should be back up on the flat, if not, chock wheels and start again .
