Yes they are Mark, mum and dad have a nesting pair in the bush behind their house. One day we were sitting out in the gazebo watching them soaring over the house and then into some thermals to get lift.
I must remember to take my SLR and tele lense over next time.
My sister has a nesting pair in the trees behind their back paddock.
If there is one thing that is guaranteed to keep them away - it's my 200-500mm Nikon [biggrin]
Spangled Drongo,
Just because of it's name.
Bush Turkey... Have eaten them a couple of times, must go back up north and catch up with my black fella mates, they cook them very nicely and allowed to eat them...
Kookaburra's I love to shoot, they where introduced to WA in the 30's and are one of the most destructive birds in the state... They belong in the East and should have stayed there...
When you see them take small wrens and the like, it makes you angry very quickly...
Pink and Greys galah is a lovely bird, they mate for life thus if one of the pair dies the other will follow very quickly... I had a pair, one died when avery was wrecked in a storm, the female starved herself to death... It was sad to watch, so if I get another it will be single..
