There are hundreds of different strains of flu virus, and mutations create new varieties every year. Vaccines work for the strains of flu virus that they are developed for. Yep , always wash your hands and best of all avoiding people at any opportunity, esp those with kids will see you through. Every year all the co workers drop like flies , sticking to my plan I rarely get a sniffle.
Apparently hand washing reduced spread of infection more than even hospitals thought possible a few years ago.
I notice that my grandchildren are taught at pre-school to cover coughs and sneezes with the inside of their elbow rather than their hand.
