Having recently been through the WOVR process, I wouldn't reccomend it for such a low value vehicle.

Unless the vehicle has a high sentimental value or the owner is a glutton and enjoys that sort of thing

Personally I would buy another D1 and use the wreck as spare parts, That a heap of spares for only $400

Yes, have done this myself - doable, but they deliberately make you jump through a lot of hoops. Ok if you really want the vehicle back on the road, but if you can transfer all the good bits to something else, then easier to let it go.

He's still deciding what to do , hard to find another straight un-abused stock V8 on duel fuel which he wants, some ridiculous prices advertised by some dreamers are asking for their high milage D1s and no road worthies with it. I reckon he should move up to a D2 as they are cheap. but it is not my call and don't want to get involved, it's his decision. I sold my low milage 2000 ES D2 injected gas V8 with full fruit and with nanacom @ $3500, only needed a light globe for roadworthy pass and that was what the market was paying, but some are thinking they will get $5000 for a high km D1 without roadworthy
