my pick is a VF - possibly a regal .
The wheel looks like a vip , the dash is stock and the glove box says ‘Valiant’ Trim is the same as my VF vip .
The steering wheel was how I picked it as a Valiant. It's the same wheel as my 1971 Hillman Hunter Royal 660.

Hot out of the shed !
Oh dear Rex, what have you done to that lovely old Val?![]()
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Coz I live down the bottom of Oz it’s upside down ?
Apart from that that not much - I redid the suspension all new brakes and a ‘ rough rebore ‘ approx 7 years ago . It still runs points , all original .
Has not left me waiting is the best car I’ve ever owned .
Im the second owner - original owner could no longer drive .
The vehicle in the ad is a station wagon so is not a VIP - the dash in the ad is a VG Regal dash not a VF (square speedo) dash - the trim in the car is VG not VF (pleated style).
I see your VIP has the pleb interior - even the VF Regal we had years ago had full individual bucket seats with arm rest - not your bench with individual seat backs.

Yes , your right - now I’m paying tooooo much attention to adverts for mmmm !
VG dash .
And yes my vip is a one off , slant6 , standard bench ,disc braked . Was a personal order for the fella I got it off - he traded a Rambler American for it .
In the olden day’s Val’s were a carton or $35 , now not so many around , I met a lot of people who’s ‘dad or gran-dad had one just like this ‘
Yes we switched from Holdens in the mid 60s to an AP6, VC, VE, VF and then downsized to a particularly rare Sigma 2.6 SE Station Wagon - rare in that these were not Aussie built at the start but were built in Japan and came with the alloy wheels (same as the Scorpion) rather than those awful hubcaps the normal SEs came with.
I learnt to drive on the VF - was a bit of a barge but stopped OK with power disk brakes - the equivalent holden had power drums which were very dodgy.
