That was my initial thought, but the steering wheel doesn't look right.

I never looked to close but my guess was XR or XT ford maybe even earlier . I don't pay much attention to Maccas ads , or ads in general .

will try and have a closer look if I remember.

It is a VG Valiant Regal Station Wagon - I didn't notice anything special about the steering wheel but I cannot find the ad online to check.

Looks as if the ad was filmed in the Scarborough/Wombarra area of Northern Wollongong

Don't know the add, but vg has square headlights, ve, vf are round with different grills and headlight surrounds from memory

You don't see the lights, only a flash of the waistline up, from behind the windscreen and a glimpse of the dash.
